Vase with Dragons blends references to Korean Goryeo pottery and Chinese Longquan productions into a contemporary pastiche. Goryeo pottery, produced during the Goryeo Dynasty (918 to 1392 AD), was known for fine celadon glazes and crackle patterns, referred to as Bingyeol. Furthermore, the vase incorporates elements reminiscent of Chinese Longquan productions of the Southern Song and Yuan dynasties (1127 to 1368 AD), which often replicated the shapes of ancient Chinese vases.
